The beaches of North Wales remain incredibly quiet, even in the peak summer months. You are guaranteed to find a great spot to sit and youngsters will have plenty of space to build their sandcastles. The further you have to walk from the parking area, the quieter the beaches will be. You will discover amazing places to stroll and you can admire the seabirds, collect shells, investigate caves and marvel at the mountains as you walk. If you are walking your pooches, some beaches are off limits for dogs while others impose restrictions in the summer months. We have highlighted our favourite dog-friendly beaches on our Pets page.
If you are used to crowded shores and overflowing car parks, the beaches of North Wales offer a refreshing change and are wonderful to visit throughout the year. The amazing sunsets on the west coast are something to behold and you will love exploring the nature reserves, rock formations and lighthouses. We have yet to visit every beach in the region, but from what we have seen so far, there is something to recommend most of them!
