The Woollen Mill couldn’t be in a more beautiful and tranquil location. Surrounded by meadows and woodland, the mill is nestled into the northern bank of the Llyfni. Walk a few hundred yards up the lane and you can see the stunning coast and the island of Anglesey. Look east and there are wonderful views of Snowdon and the neighbouring peaks.

It does feel like we are in the middle of nowhere here but we are only a couple of minutes from the A487 and the village of Penygroes. There are a number of wonderful beaches close by and you can reach the car park at the foot of Snowdon in just 20 minutes. Beautiful Beddgelert is 10 miles down the road and Caernarfon is 7 miles north of here. You can enjoy all of the area’s fabulous attractions without having to drive too far and then relax for the evening in a wonderfully peaceful setting.

Don’t forget to take a stroll around the local lanes during your visit. In the summer months, the hedgerows host amazingly diverse wildlife and a stunning array of pretty wildflowers. The views are fabulous throughout the seasons and there is always something interesting to see including birds of prey, the occasional hare, colourful butterflies and even the odd escaped sheep!
